Ferintosh 'Wee Bus' under new management

At the beginning of April Community Support & Information, Ross-shire (CSIR) withdrew from weekday/daytime delivery of Wee Bus services, and since then these services have been replaced by a timetabled service operated by Highland Council.  Evening and weekend services operated by Ferintosh Community Council and volunteer drivers continued to operate, though this was not mentioned in a press release issued by the council - a matter of some concern to FCC.

The solution arrived at to take forward the valuable community service the 'wee bus' provides was to set up a Community Transport Organisation as a formally constituted charity, separate from FCC and with its own board of trustees, which will take over the provision of both weekday daytime and evening and weekend services by the Wee Bus.
