Take the Wee Bus to the market !

Alison Lowe, Ferintosh Community Council Treasurer, writes

Hi Everyone,

From your house to the market, shop, coffee and blether, and back to your house?  One of our residents had the bright idea that we could use the wee Ferintosh Bus to collect you from your houses around our patch and take you to and from the Culbokie Community Market on Saturday 19 March.  Our plan is for the FCB to be around the area of Mulbuie Hall at 9.30am and weave a path (decided according to your bookings) through the FCC area, house by house, to arrive at the market about 10amfor the beginning of the market.

Our suggestion for the return journey would be to leave the market at 11.30am and return you to your houses but that time could be earlier or later according to your own thoughts.  Your volunteer driver for this trip is going to be Shona Street who is generously offering her time out of normal working hours and is keen to get to know you and the area better to see how best the FCB can work for us all.  Shona is the Chief Officer of CSI Ross-Shire which has the contract from THC to manage and administer the FCB.

If you are interested, then please do call 07387 364541 (dedicated phone for using the FCB in the evenings and weekends) and we'll do our very best to plan a sociable and convenient experience for you.  The line is open 10am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.

Culbokie was the first community market on the Black Isle, established by Ferintosh Community Council and now run by the Culbokie Community Trust.  It inspired us to copy the idea and is flourishing.   It takes place at the FINDON HALL, CULBOKIE on the 3rd Saturday of each month between 10.00 and 12.00.
