Skye & Lochalsh 'Healthy Homes' project
February 2024
Healthy Homes for Skye, Raasay & Lochalsh
online conference
in partnership with Carbon Neutral Islands Raasay
This conference was held online on Friday 9 February as a follow-up to the Healthy Homes survey and report (see below). It was attended by local and national politicians, representatives of community groups, technical experts on housing policy and upgrading to clean heating, and members of the public from Skye and further afield.
The conference looked in depth at all aspects of retrofitting and upgrading both owner-occupied and rented homes, with emphasis on how projects in rural areas like Skye, Lochalsh and Raasay could be made more effective and householder-friendly by being co-operative and community-led. The presentations given and a recording of the conference proceedings have been made available on the Healthy Homes website www.healthyhomessl.co.uk .
