Muir of Ord Post Office closing on 22 September

Ferintosh CC has drawn attention to an email from Post Office Limited saying that owing to the resignation of the current postmaster Muir of Ord Post Office (at the filling station on the road to Conon Bridge) will close 'temporarily' on Friday 22 September at 1.00. Following the closure the nearest post offices will be at Beauly (in the Co-op) and at the car park in Conon Bridge.
POL suggest, but do not state, that the Muir of Ord branch will reopen in due course. They say
We are currently reviewing Post Office service provision in the area and will provide a further update when the review has been completed.
