NESCAN Hub newsletter received

Just three days after we emailed Bethany at H&I Climate Hub and remarked that we hadn't heard of much activity by their counterpart pilot Hub in the North East, we have received a newsletter from the NESCAN Hub revealing that they have been hiring staff and engaging in quite lot of activity. This includes

Development of our projects map
Expansion of the team, recruiting two in June, one in August and a further three in October and one in December. We are having a new Systems & Resources Lead join us at the end of Jan.
Filming of 'North East Scotland Communities: Our Green Journey' and screenings throughout the autumn.
Applied for and received Scottish Government Funding to pilot a program of Community Climate Assemblies and other deliberative processes.
Managed the first year of the Green Participatory Budgeting Fund alongside our TSI partners.
Hosted a Community Resilience and Adaptation Event attended by over 70 public and 3rd sector community groups and individuals from across Scotland.

At the moment is is not easy to provide direct access to the newsletter, but while we are working on that have a look at the NESCAN Hub website, which has lots of information about the hub's activities and also access to the latest and all previous newsletters at News / newsletters on the menu.
