Transition Black Isle hit the airwaves this weekend, with two members featured on a popular BBC Scotland show.

Jess Christman of the Energy Group and communications group member Catriona Ross were interviewed for BBC Scotland's Out of Doors programme about keeping warm using sustainable locally sourced woodfuel.

You can listen to the interview on the BBC iplayer here.

Transition Black Isle has teamed up with Highland Birchwoods to organise a special Black Isle Festival of Firewood, Forests and Film on Thursday 17 November in Fortrose Theatre.

This will feature a day of demonstration and discussions about heating your home with wood and other renewable energy.  A free buffet will be followed by screenings of four stunning, award winning films created for the International Year of Forestry.

You can download a flier with more details here - look forward to seeing you on the day!

We are part of the rapidly expanding worldwide Transition Towns movement. The Black Isle is a peninsula of about 100 sq miles ENE of Inverness in Scotland, UK.
