Local Food: Black Isle directory launched

08 March 2011

Raspberry and Blackberry jamsFrom bakeries to breweries, beef to beetroot there is an incredible variety of local food produce and venues on the Black Isle.

You can find out all about them in the Transition Black Isle local food directory which has just been launched. Like the produce being sold by the companies in it, the directory has  a fresh and tempting look about it, with each business describing what they do, a clear map of how to find them in the centre-fold and beautiful photographs to entice you to visit.

You can download a copy here, or pick up a booklet at a local food shop, library or post office.

We are part of the rapidly expanding worldwide Transition Towns movement. The Black Isle is a peninsula of about 100 sq miles ENE of Inverness in Scotland, UK.
