Sunday is Potato Day

03 March 2011

Sunday 6 March is Potato Day at Findon Hall, Culbokie.

If you are in the mood for some chitting and chatting this is the perfect event for you.

There will be more than 50 varieties of seed potatoes on sale in the hall, some of which will be well-known, others, more unusual varieties. All will be for sale at no more than 20p a tuber.

There will be information available on the different varieties, and on growing potatoes - so that will be the chitting (sprouting potatoes ready for planting) taken care of.

There will be lots of opportunity for chat too - as refreshments will be available, and Agric Hadron, who planned the event is 'hoping to have more than 200 people or more visit the potato day.'

The event will run from 1 - 4.00 pm, if you'd like to find out more you can contact us by email on info@transitionblackisle.org or ring 01463 731572

We are part of the rapidly expanding worldwide Transition Towns movement. The Black Isle is a peninsula of about 100 sq miles ENE of Inverness in Scotland, UK.
