THE END OF THE LINE

end of the line posterFilmed over two years, The End of the Line follows the investigative reporter Charles Clover as he confronts politicians and celebrity restaurateurs, who exhibit little regard for the damage they are doing to the oceans.

Clover focuses on how overfishing  has caused the decimation of cod stocks off Newfoundland, and the near extinction of bluefin tuna. The film doesn't shy away from the need for political will to bring about the changes necessary to save global fish stocks, but it does also provide practical suggestions that we can all adopt.

Backed by Channel 4, the film was largely funded by not-for-profit foundations in the UK and the USA. The UK the cinema release of the film was supported by Waitrose.

The film is being shown on Thursday 17th February in Munlochy Village Hall from 7.30 to 9.30pm
