Another successful TBI Potato Day

12 February 2015

TBI's fifth Potato Day was held successfully last Saturday 7 March 2015 at North Kessock Hall.  Over 60 varieties of seed potatoes were on sale at 15p each, and purchases ranged from 5 to 300 tubers. Thanks are due to a band of willing volunteers, including TBI members and supporters and the Dingwall Diggers, who carried out a multitude of duties throughout the day; to Julie Gibson and her team who provided refreshments; and to Agric, Toni Clark, Maggie Wormald and Trish McKeggie who were on hand to offer growing advice.

If you weren't able to get to Potato Day on Saturday, you will still be able to buy seed potatoes at the forthcoming Black Isle community markets in Cromarty (14 March), Culbokie (21 March) and North Kessock (28 March).

In addition, both Transition Town Forres and the Glenurquhart and Strathglass community association Soirbheas are holding "tattie events" from next weekend.  See the Food / Potato Day page for details.

This report will later be added to the TBI events archive, which you can see at Events / Events archive.  Information about the events archive was included in the recent March newsletter.
