Community Wind Turbine Meeting, Saturday 15 November
04 June 2014
Fortrose Academy Theatre (Library entrance)
1.30 - 3.30pm
This is a free public meeting to present the findings of the feasibility study commissioned by Black Isle Community Energy into the possibilities for setting up community-owned wind turbines for the benefit of the Black Isle.
Everyone is invited to come along and hear an outline of the study conclusions, learn about other similar projects and discuss the way forward for BICE. All contributions to the debate will be welcome, and it is important that as many members of the community as possible express their views. If you can't get to the meeting, you can contribute to the discussion on the website forum, at
http://www.transitionblackisle.org/forum/forums/forum-view.asp?fid=60
The feasibility study is now available online, both as the full study report and an executive summary,
and an extensive list of Frequently Asked Questions about the Community Energy project is available at

At the meeting Brian McDougall of Udny Community Trust will tell us about that group's experience of setting up a community-owned wind turbine which has been in operation since 2011. Links relating to this project are:
