The Nature Foundation Trust is looking for Trustees

14 December 2024

“Would you be interested in getting involved in native woodland management and expansion?  .  .  .  We are seeking new Trustees for the board of Nature Foundation.”

The Nature Foundation Trust was established and set up as a Scottish Charity in 2005.  The primary purposes of the Trust are securing protection and enhancement of remaining remnants of native habitats and their biodiversity in Scotland, with a focus on native woodland.

There is a strong Highland emphasis, where most native woodland remnants are concentrated.  Our objectives are primarily achieved through purchase, and subsequent management of remnants at risk; and representation on appropriate bodies to promote and inform relevant policy discussions.

If you, or someone you know, could be interested in considering becoming a Trustee, and has some knowledge of, and passion for, the natural world, please get in touch with Alan Drever, Chair, by emailing: alandrever@hotmail.co.uk

We expect to hold informal interviews, including a field visit, to meet the team, including Andy Scobie, Tim Clifford and Diana Gilbert, to ensure there is compatibility between us all.
