The Residents Association of North Kessock (RANK) is pleased to invite you to an event aimed at shaping the future of your local neighbourhood. The Inner Moray Firth Local Development Plan (IMFLDP) engagement and discussion event will be held on Monday 8th February at 7pm by Zoom.
The evening will feature a presentation and discussion on the Main Issues Report which is the first major step in preparing the local development plan. The Report includes 9 main issues: Addressing the Climate and Ecological Emergency; Supporting a strong, diverse and sustainable economy; Growing the most sustainable places; Delivering affordable housing; Matching development with infrastructure capacity; Creating a more healthy sustainable transport network; Identifying and safeguarding valued local green space; Placemaking; and Meeting the needs of an ageing population. It is published for consultation at www.highland.gov.uk/imf.
We are delighted to welcome our speakers:
- Councillor Gordon Adam, Chair of Black Isle, Dingwall and Seaforth Committee who will set the scene with the Council’s overarching strategy and vision for our area
- Tim Stott, Principal Planner at the Highland Council who will deliver a presentation on the main issues facing our area, the settlement priorities and site preferences identified for development in North Kessock, Munlochy and Tore
Gordon and Tim have kindly made their time available to hear your comments and will explain how important it is for your voice to be heard in the preparation of the Plan which will help shape how our community changes over the next 10 to 20 years.
It is important to get involved now and share your views and ideas before 1st April 2021. Please click on this short video to see more about the IMFLDP consultation process.
