Time for Change: Climate Emergency - Social Enterprise Scotland online event
26 June 2020, Starts: 13:30, Ends: 15:00
Has Covid 19 knocked Climate Emergency off the priority list or accelerated our thinking about a need to act? What activities and discussion would we see if Climate was also treated a national emergency with daily Government briefings?
Recent consultations on economic recovery hinted at a green recovery and with COP26 set to be held in Glasgow, though now at a delayed date, we ask what a green recovery may look like and consider the role social enterprise may play.
Join us in the last in this series of our #TimeforChange sessions as we considerClimate Emergency and social enterprise responses. Does our sector do enough to consider our environmental impact? How can we harness and support individuals to make a difference?
Chaired by Naomi Johnson we will be joined in this session by:
- Iain Gulland, CEO at Zero Waste Scotland
- Martin Valenti, Head of Climate Enterprise at Scottish Enterprise
- Daisy Narayanan, Director of Urbanism, Sustrans
