Website editor

I suppose I cut my environmentalist teeth, as it were (as I remember Agric saying he had done), on Rachel Carson's Silent Spring, followed by E F Schumacher's Small is Beautiful and the Club of Rome report The Limits to Growth of 1972  (which sold 30 million copies in 30 languages and is said to have been the best selling environmental book ever).  I suppose a farming background, interest in the outdoors and leftish political views with no obvious source or influence left me vulnerable to Maggie Dove's persuasion to join TBI at an event ( I don't think it was a market) in 2015.  My probably foolish admission that I had an interest in and some competence with computers, combined with the fact that the TBI website was currently managed by someone based in Aberdeen, saw me securely hooked and reeled in to the job of website editor which I have performed ever since.  I take a little I hope modest satisfaction from the fact that one of the reasons given by Lara Feldman (who set up the blackislelarder.org website during an internship in 2017) for wanting to work with TBI was that the website seemed to be kept up to date.
