| Coming up to Christmas I am thinking of imaginative, and more sutainable, ways of decorating and wrapping presents.
I newspaper--this is what I currently use brightening it up with rafia which I bought in Oxfam.
Newspaper might sound boring but I am trying to choose my sheet carefully depending on who is to open the present.
Eg a green friend might find a picture of a windturbine whilst my grandson, age 4 , had a picture of the teletubbies round his! I know its a bit young for age 4 but better than economics I thought.
2 I hear the japanese often use pieces of nice material--now this sounds a great idea to me. The idea is that the recipient of the present then retains the material to use on a present they send to someone else.
( I have an old pair of brghtly coloured trousers, sadly no longer wearable,so must get out the sewing machine and cut up a few squares and oblongs)
Have other people got other wrapping ideas?
