If you thought the problems with the ozone layer were sorted with the banning of CFCs you might need to think again, but then again the phasing out of CFCs probably prevented us being already at 3 degrees of global warming. Inhalers commonly used for asthma etc in fact contain HFCs which destroy the Ozone layer but are just less harmful than CFCs. They also account for a large amount of the NHS's emissions. There are plans to replace them with dry powder inhalers which are just as effective and easier for patients to use. It's worth asking your doctor if you can switch if you use an inhaler.

Hydrogen fuel cells may also cause problems with the ozone layer as about 10% of hydrogen is likely to escape and may damage the ozone layer, so they are not without risk.
