Hi,
Just registered and really interested in the groups work.
Especially happy as we have converted our apples into 37L of delicious apple juice with the marvellous press!

Has the group considered using Twitter and Facebook to keep up with news?
I have been using them for a while and found it a great way to let people know what is happening, share ideas and resources of a community that this project seems to be all about.
It has transformed how we keep in touch with the younger members at Chanonry Sailing club.

I think Miles has a good point here, but it's difficult to see how we move it forward, given everything else that's going on. Miles, I don't suppose one of your youths might be interested in a little project?

Thanks for this suggestion Miles. We put the idea on the agenda for the Communications meeting that we had today. It transpires that we already have a Facebook page and a Twitter feed although neither are well managed because none of our existing volunteers has the inclination to spend time working on them - preferring to make wine, grow food or make posters instead (old fogies I know). We all agreed it would be the best way of reaching young / cool people but at the moment we don't have the wherewithall.

Until a Twitter and Facebook literate volunteer comes along we may have to continue with the old methods.

It has got steadily livelier and we now have 230 Likes! But none of us is too keen on Twitter so following us there is probably a waste of time...
