Has anyone found anywhere in Highland where you can recycle old video cassettes and audio tapes? Highland Council accepts DVDs and CDs but not, it would seem, tapes. Pre recorded videos can go to charity - the ones I am wanting rid off are those recorded from the TV , vinyl etc ...

It's a tough one. Most Charities don't even take Prerecorded cassettes and Videos because they can't resell them.
Although the cases can be recycled, the tape cannot.
The only option seems to be to repurpose them.

Having trailed round Inverness with a large bag of pre-recorded video cassettes, I can report that the Blythswood book shop at the bottom of Academy Street is still happy to take them. :-)
