  The Beautiful Storm

Phil Bancroft’s new trio performing their exciting and optimistic new album  “FINDING HOPE (When all seems lost)”

Featuring entirely new music, with renowned Scottish saxophonist Phil, are the superb tabla player GYAN SINGH (India Alba) and consistently inventive guitarist GRAEME STEPHEN.

As the Aberdeen Jazz Festival reviewers commented: The Beautiful Storm experiments with Indian raga forms and Celtic accents to emphasise Bancroft's deeply improvisational style with sprawling melodies and rhythms that span cultures as well as time signatures. The result is “A wonderful return to form from a generally underrated player.  Beautiful Storm are so versatile and expressive that they may yet turn out to be the new Trio AAB!” Frank Graham UK Jazz News
