Highland Good Food Partnership Food Conversation
25 November 2024, Starts: 12:30, Ends: 16:00
Monday 25 November 12.30 - 4.00 Inverness Creative Academy
Eleanor Forster, of the Highland Good Food Partnership, writes Following feedback, we have split our orginal event into two halves:
We'd love you to join us on Monday 18th November and Monday 25th November 12.30pm til 4pm at the Inverness Creative Academy.
Note: this is the second part of a single event in two parts, not a second iteration of the event of 18 November.
We'll begin by eating lunch together, then enjoy an afternoon of learning and discussion:
Started in the summer of 2023, The Food Conversation is a project from the Food, Farming and Countryside Commission, designed to be easy to understand and engaging. Everyone – no matter what their background or interest – can participate. It is methodologically robust, enabling in-depth conversation and deliberation (similar to approaches developed for citizen assemblies). These are in-depth workshops involving a group of citizens who are broadly representative of their location.
Through a series of curated videos and resources provided by the Food, Farming and Countryside Commission, we'll be exploring the power centres, levers and challenges in our food system, and look at what this might mean in the Inverness-area food ecosystem. It's a deep dive with a range of people from many aspects of our food ecosystem, to encourage a diverse and relevant conversation. I really hope you can join us! Lunch and refreshments are provided, so please tell me if there is any allergy/dietary information I should be aware of in advance. This event is invite only, so please let me know if you can attend, and if there's someone else you think should be part of the conversation. If you're not able to come, please could you suggest a colleague who could come in your place.
Of course, if you've any questions, feel free to get in touch.
Eleanor.
