Resolis Community Arts new season - Four musical giants

22 September 2024, Starts: 19:30

Sunday 22 September    7.30     Resolis Memorial Hall

Resolis Community Arts kicks off the new season with four Giants of Trad Roots music.

We are privileged to welcome:

Ross Ainslie, needs little introduction to Resolis audiences.  A genius on whistle, pipe & cittern, playing either his own or trad compositions.

Tim Edey is a global multi-intrumentalist phenomenon.  Some may remember his playing with Ross at our BLAS event in 2021.  “A ferocious passion and a beautiful tenderness, sensitivity, respect, understanding and love perpetually shines out through the music..” Sharon Shannon.

Éamonn Coyne takes his tenor banjo sound into new territories, building bridges between his Irish tradition and many international influences.  His clarity, precision and impeccable timing serve his vast musical imagination, attracting universal praise.

Dermot Byrne had achieved renown for his melodeon playing in Donegal before reaching his teens.  Taking a fresh approach to the squeeze box tradition he is recognised throughout the Celtic world and has collaborated with many great musicians - Stephane Grappelli and Sharon Shannon among them.
