More about NH&I Climate Action Hub

Climate Action Hubs in Scotland

An introduction to the NH&I hub by Amanda Coghill, one of the hub's Highland Development Officers

Our aim is to not only celebrate and support the many existing North Highland and Island climate projects that we are learning about through our mapping pilot phase, but also to help community groups form new projects and to encourage new groups to get involved. We want to make sure that climate action is embedded in community led projects all over the region.

Our task is to provide support and advice, which will signpost the community groups to the relevant agencies or networks. These will be able to help them both with the starting a project and also with the design and the delivery of the project. Community-led climate action can be take many forms – it might be a community bus, community growing gardens or even a group that promotes active travel through e-bike hire.
