MOO Food in 2022

11 January 2022

Tuesday 11 January      7.00 - 8.30    on Zoom

MOO Food staff have emailed to publicise a meeting to discuss the future of MOO Food in the light of current funding ending in March.

You may or may not be aware that the Climate Challenge Funding for the Scran not Scraps project is coming to an end March of this year.  This means that there will no longer be staff to run the projects as there have been the last 4 years and that MOO Food will become a voluntary organisation as of April this year.

There are certain projects that we would very much like to see continue in the village, in particular the community fridge, Casserole Club and the growing boxes that are dotted throughout the village. There is also huge potential for MOO Food to apply to run new projects in Muir of Ord that fit in with the community vision.  Over the next few months we are looking to bring together those people that would like to see the already existing projects continue and/or have an interest or ideas on what you'd like to see in Muir of Ord.  Our working group meeting is 7-8.30pm on Tuesday 11th January, please email hello@moofood.org if you’d like to receive a zoom link to join in.

We welcome anyone who has an interest in MOO Food to take part, maybe you have already been a part of MOO Food for years or have just moved to the village, everyone is welcome.  After March the working group will be reporting to the Muir of Ord Development Trust and so it's great to know that the Hub will be a huge part of MOO Food in the future as we've worked so closely together over the past few years.

If you can't make the next meeting but would like to join in another time/be kept in the loop please let us know and we'll add you to the group.

Thanks,
Lyn, Ele, Sheila (MOO Food staff)
