Black Isle Food and Drink Festival

*August 2024

Highland Good Food Partnership and Culbokie Community Trust are bringing a weekend of celebration of local food and drink to the Black Isle over the weekend 23rd to 25th of August.

A highlight of the weekend will be an evening with 2022 MasterChef finalist, Sarah Rankin, sponsored by WoodWinters’ Wines, on Friday 23 August at 7.30. Sarah will talk about her journey from home cook to MasterChef finalist and food writer, and demonstrate a few dishes from her new recipe book, ‘Kith’.  Guests will be able to ask questions and buy signed copies of the book.

Tickets for this special event at Findon Hall, Culbokie, are £15, available from Culbokie Spar and this week’s Culbokie Community Market (August 17th) or reserve by email at event@culbokiect.org.

On Saturday from 12.00 there will be stalls, tasters, demonstrations and music at Findon Hall and the Culbokie Church Centre, organised by Culbokie Community Trust.

On Sunday at 3.00 there will be a showing and discussion of the film ‘Rooted’ about local food systems at Cromarty Cinema, organised by Highland Good Food Partnership.  Book here.

During the weekend, a number of local  businesses have pledged to put on a special Black Isle Menu, which will be made from Black Isle ingredients and produce. Support our local food businesses and eateries by going along and tasting the amazing food we have on offer on our doorstep.
