28 October 2023, Starts: 15:30, Ends: 18:00

Saturday 28 October    3.30 - 6.00   The Green   Culbokie

From Culbokie Community Trust September newsletter
- updated 3 October

Come along if you dare to a spooky plastic free Halloween gathering on Culbokie Green.  Listen to stories told by Lizzie McDougall and join in the ghostly crafts and unearthly games. We’re keen to avoid single-use plastic throughout this event, so get creative with what nature provides, or recycle and upcycle materials for your costumes and lanterns.  There will be prizes for best costume and best lantern (pumpkin or turnip).  Join the eerie lantern procession round the Green and enjoy potions and brews in the earthly form of soup, nibbles and soft drinks which will also be provided.

Everyone is welcome and scarily this event is free for all, so put the date in your diary.  This event is part of Celebrating Community Land Week, and has been made possible by the Scottish International Storytelling Festival’s Big Scottish Story Ripple initiative.

It will also mark the official opening of the Culbokie Green, a space at the heart of the village where people and nature can mix. At 3.45  Councillor Lyndsey Johnston will be saying a few words and cutting a Halloween cake to share.

In order to make this event as sustainable as possible, please bring your own reusable cups and mugs.

Put the date in your diary – and watch this space!
