An introduction to the Highland Community Waste Partnership
13 December 2022, Starts: 14:00, Ends: 15:30
Tuesday 13 December 2022 2.00 - 3.30 online
Hear from Partnership officers about the project and how they support communities
The Highland Community Waste Partnership is led and driven by eight established community groups across the Highlands, coordinated by Keep Scotland Beautiful.
Together, they’re working to reduce waste in our communities, by changing the way that we all consume, that is, buy, use and dispose of things.
This means using things better, for longer, reducing the impact of waste on our communities and working together to make the most of what we’ve got.
This will help cut costs, grow local, grassroots initiatives and transform the way we live to reduce our environmental impact.
The Waste Partnership is a huge benefit to communities and so, this event will offer a brief introduction to some of the people involved. At the event, you’ll be able to learn more about the partnership, understand the partnership officer closest to your community and understand how you can get involved and gain support from the partnership.
To date, the Waste Partnership Officers have been working super hard with communities to host all kinds of events including fashion swaps and repair cafes with lots more to come in 2023.
