Community Climate Action Wester Ross Biosphere
28 April 2022, Starts: 09:45, Ends: 16:00
Thursday 28 April 9.45 - 4.00 via Zoom
On 28th April we will be celebrating and promoting community-led climate action in the Wester Ross Biosphere!
Whether you're already engaged in climate action, thinking about how to get involved or start a project, we welcome you to join us in this online conference.
This event is about what action communities are taking, and can take in future to tackle climate change in Wester Ross and Lochalsh. The aim is to share learning on key successes and celebrate existing practice, whilst encouraging those not already taking action to get involved. The event will be held on Zoom to allow communities from all over the biosphere and beyond to participate.
Core themes of the conference which will be addressed through a mix of plenary, panel and breakout discussion sessions are:
- Climate change and the SDGs
- Climate change and food growing
- Developing local climate solutions across different sectors
- Tools and approaches for communities to take action on climate
The learning and knowledge from the event will be captured by Wester Ross UNESCO Biosphere and published online as a resource and source of inspiration.
