Climate Cafes online - SG Heat in Buildings consultation

26 February 2024

Starts: 18:00

Monday 26 February    6.00              online

Laura has drawn attention to this email from the Climate Cafes organisation

This online Climate Cafe session is an opportunity to hear more about the proposals in the Heat in Buildings consultation from Scottish Government. It was wonderful to have ten Climate Cafés represented at the last session and to hear how that informed chat in Cafés afterwards. Thank you for your interest and feedback.

Scottish Government is currently consulting on proposals that would require households to improve insulation and switch to cleaner heating; and our guests will be expert Elizabeth Leighton of the Existing Homes Alliance and Martin Mathers, The HEAT Project who can give the Climate Café Coordinators a briefing on the importance of these proposals, the opportunity for everyone to share views and what this could mean practically.  The HEAT Project came from a Climate Café chat, so you may be interested to hear more of their story too. This session may be of particular interest to those in Scotland, but all are most welcome and it is always interesting to hear all perspectives and responses.
