Saturday 22 April Strathpeffer Community Centre
Carol Mackenzie, co-ordinator at Strathpeffer Community Centre, has sent notice of this event in April. She says
We are looking to hold our first Science Fair since Covid on Saturday 22nd April, to coincide with “Earth Day”.
At our previous fairs we have attracted a footfall of around 300 people. It is a family event with all sorts of talks, demonstrations and hands-on activities.
It would be great if you could come along to run some hands-on activities, give a talk or anything else really.

Saturday 22 April 1.00 Town House to Falcon Square
A disappointingly small group of climate protesters took part in a march and rally organised by Extinction Rebellion Inverness last Saturday, to coincide with XR's 'The Big One' demonstrations in London. The group marched fron Inverness Town House to Falcon Square, where they were addressed by several speakers from activist groups including Quakers and the Scottish Green Party.
Earth Day is an annual event that celebrates and promotes environmental awareness and the need to protect our natural resources for future generations, and it seemed a perfect opportunity to highlight this in Inverness.
Ruth Dunster from Extinction Rebellion Inverness publicised the event, rallied the marchers and introduced the speakers.
