Advertising/ Publicity

Transition Black Isle has supplied a large banner to hang across the front of the hall on market days , and a set of roadside placards. Maggie Dove and I have fixed stakes to these placards so they can be set up and removed.

We do not have any A-boards as planned.

Transition Black Isle also feature the market in the latest newsletter. Sutor Creek are advertising the market on their tables.

We need someone to check and if need be do a press release, also to contact Moray Firth radio and Chatterbox. Any volunteers welcome.

Help on the day

We will need help with putting up and taking down the banner and roadside signs. The banner will require a ladder and working at some height, plus someone at the bottom to help. The roadside signs need to go out a few days beforehand. The banner needs to go up early on the morning of 14th.

We will also need people to help in the hall setting up, packing up, helping stallholders etc.

We also need volunteers to help operate the three TBI stalls – information, swap your stuff and a veg / plant stall- as we can’t manage all three at once! We have put on the veg stall as we have run into a problem with local producers for this market only – we should be OK for June onwards.

Long-term parking is not available at the hall. Stallholders will need to bring vehicles to the hall only to unload or load up but move them elsewhere the rest of the time – so locals able to help stallholders with parking would be very helpful too.

Refreshments

Cromarty School Parent Council will provide soup/ sandwiches/ baking / tea / coffee etc.

The following market will be on 11 June.
