Climate Justice in Scotland Info-tour
Inverness Climate Justice Info-night
Wednesday 4th August, 6pm- 8pm, Room C9, Inverness college, IV1 1SA

With the expansion of open-cast coal mining, new coal power-stations in planning, the decline of the north sea oil industry and a finance sector that is trying to find its way out of crisis through heavy investment into fossil fuels, Scotland is an important context for the building of a grass-roots movement for climate justice. These info-nights will be exploring how communities and activists can come together to challenge the destructive profiteering of the Banks and fossil fuel industry and develop a democratic movement for climate justice and community control.
There will be film, presentations and discussion, themes that will be explored include;
• Communities resisting new coal in Scotland
• RBS and the Alberta Tar Sands
• Peak Oil, Workers and Just transition
• Tackling Fuel Poverty and inequality
• Empowering a grassroots movement for Climate Justice

Please forward this to whoever might be interested.
