| Some of you may have seen the original Zero Carbon Britain, published by the Centre for Alternative Technology in 2007. There's now a follow up, examining the issues in more detail, and also taking on board the implications of Peak Oil. I haven't read it yet, but have skimmed some of the "Executive Summary" and it strikes me as an enormously important book. Rob Hopkins puts it better than I can: "Zero Carbon Britain 2030 is the clearest, best researched and most attractive option on the table. It offers a national framework, within which communities can begin to design their own zero carbon plans. I for one am profoundly grateful for the effort and thinking that has gone into this remarkable piece of work." You can download the book for free, or buy a copy, from http://www.zcb2030.org/ . | |
