Not so much for the cursory article, more for the useful info in the numerous links it references and the data / history therein (hints: Nixon wasn't all bad, Reagan was much worse for the planet - but you probably knew that already; US environmental protection is relatively non-existent).
Unrelated: Methinks we are reaching another cusp, putting my Hari Sheldon hat on, sometime in the 18-ish months starting August 2023. We shall see, nothing much has seriously disturbed the balance since the first year of covid - which didn't seriously perturb global things much.
