| If you use the Firefox browser it looks like release 3.6.2 has a bit of a memory leak problem which can cause it to slow down and even freeze up, especially if you open lots of tabs and access video material.
The problem will likely be fixed within days or weeks but until then I advise you not to upgrade to 3.6.2 if you are currently on an earlier version. I will notify you here when that situation changes. Meanwhile I'll try to find an explanation of the problem and a workround (maybe downgrade to 3.5.8 or 3.6) because it's REALLY annoying me ATM.
============== Update (about an hour later):
it does look like a fair number of people ae reporting such problems with 3.6.2 which was rushed out about 10 days earlier than scheduled to fix a security problem in 3.6. Ominously I've found no response from Mozilla about the problem despite checking 3 forums I'd expect them to reply on more or less immediately.
I have reverted to 3.6 and it is bliss in comparison to 3.6.2. If anyone is having probs with 3.6.2 and would like to downgrade until its problems are fixed then say so here and I'll provide instructions, it's quite easy. | |

| In the top menu bar click on "Help" then on "About Mozilla Firefox", the version number is displayed under the orange Firefox label. | |
