Black Isle Horticultural Society AGM

08 November 2022, Starts: 19:30

Tuesday 8 November 7.30  Gordon Memorial Hall  Rosemarkie

Graham Sullivan, BIHS Secretary, writes

.   .  Our plant sales, held in May, have become very successful, with lots of people getting interesting new plants for their gardens at bargain prices, and the opportunity to discuss things with other local gardeners.  This year our Summer Show returned to our usual venue in Rosemarkie for the first time since Covid, and saw record numbers of exhibits and exhibitors.
.   .   .   .
Of course, organising these events and making them successful requires a lot of planning and effort.   As they attract more participants, the effort required increases.  We have a small committee that organises the Society, and a band of helpers who also assist with running our events.  We’re very grateful to all of them.
.   .   .   .
Some of our committee members are moving away from the area (we’ll miss the help and the enthusiasm for wildflowers!), and we’ll be looking to replace them.  If you’re interested in becoming involved, or have thoughts about how our events run or what should be in our Show Schedule, please come along to our Annual General meeting next Tuesday, or email the address below.
