Culbokie Orienteering Fun Event ‘Rabbie Burns Special

27 January 2019, Starts: 12:00

Culbokie Woods     from 12.00

Culbokie Community Trust Chair Richard Fyfe writes

"The last orienteering event in Culbokie Wood was such good fun, and so many people came along, that we’ve decided to do another one! This will be ideally suited to families and groups or individuals who want to give orienteering a go. We’ve given it a Rabbie Burns theme as a bit of extra fun. We hope participants will join in the spirit of this by thinking up a good Burns name for their team. We’ll do the rest.

"A poster is attached with full details – so put the date in your diary and try to encourage your friends to join in. Starts will be between 12 noon and 2pm.  We realise that the weather could be an issue at that time of year. We’ll go ahead if at all possible but might need to be prepared to postpone if conditions are dire!"

Penny Edwards adds  (CCT January newsletter)

"Come along and enjoy our next community orienteering event in Culbokie Wood on Sunday 27th January 12-2pm. This is designed to be suitable for anyone who enjoys getting out into the woods and can do very basic map reading. There will be an easy course for beginners (about 3Km) and a harder course for the more experienced (about 7Km) and it can be tackled as an individual or in groups. There will be marshals on hand to make sure no one gets lost! We'll be providing refreshments and we hope there'll be plenty of chance for a natter as well. Come with suitable footwear for getting about the woodland and plenty of warm clothing for the January conditions!"
