Recontextualising a revolution.
Exploring a story that history overlooked, this hopeful documentary sheds
light on the women from the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem, whose
grassroots organising was the unsung, beating heart of the first Intifada.
Through animation, exclusive archive footage and intimate, in-depth
interviews, Naila and the Uprising offers a rare opportunity to re-appraise
the history of nonviolent resistance in Palestine from a feminist perspective.
Join us after the film as we explore the legacy of civil disobedience and
community organising in Palestine, alongside the role of international
solidarity movements.
