The Walking, Cycling, Connecting Communities Conference - often known as the Active Travel conference - is now well-established as the go-to event for everyone whose professional life touches on the need to encourage and develop active travel in Scotland.
This is a broad audience, encompassing transport planners and engineers, health professionals, town planners and property professionals, local authorities, private sector, and third sector participants.
The key theme of the 2020 Conference - to be held at Perth Concert Hall on 3 June - will be the needs of communities in rural areas, villages and towns, exploring how best we can develop and support sustainable transport outwith our cities.  The conference’s working title is:

'Connecting Communities Sustainably'

We are part of the rapidly expanding worldwide Transition Towns movement. The Black Isle is a peninsula of about 100 sq miles ENE of Inverness in Scotland, UK.
