Global Climate Strike

Friends of the Earth and other organisations are joining forces for what is billed as a Global Climate Strike on Friday 20 September, When adults are invited to join the young people who, inspired by Greta Thunberg, have been staging weekly climate strikes for months. FoE have produced a range of advice and supporting materials including downloadable 'Take back Tomorrow' placards, template letters to employers ,and instructions on how to make a 'Sad Earth' head.
In the Highlands, strikes are planned for Inverness (Eastgate Shopping Centre, 12.00), Nairn, Elgin, Ullapool and Fort William.
Other organisations involved are the Campaign against Climate Change and the UK Students' Climate network .
