The venue for the next group meeting will be The Old School Hall at The Hub, Muir of Ord.

The meeting needs to finish by 9.15pm and will run a bit differently from normal.
 

Item 1:
We will start with a short presentation by Freya Connell and Duncan Falconer from the Highland Recycling Team, followed by a Question & Answer session regarding Plastic Waste & Recycling on the Black Isle. Please do come prepared with any questions you may have. 

Item 2:
We will then move on to discussing and organising the Drastic Plastic Stand at the Inverness Science Fair, which is booked for Saturday 11^th May, at the Inverness Leisure Centre, 12-4pm

This is the ‘Family Day’ and Freya & Duncan have kindly offered to come along to help provide us with the ‘expertise’ on the stand.

We will be providing appropriate activities, throughout the afternoon and alongside Freya & Duncan, will hopefully be able to answer some of the questions on the issues surrounding Plastic Waste, that we may be asked.

Freya has suggested that we could run activities which dovetail in with the Schools Curriculum and has some information on this, or we can choose to do anything else that is suitable.

Age range is Toddler to adult – so lots of scope!

The Science team tell me that it’s a very busy afternoon – 1800 people came through the door in the first 3 hours last year! So, we are looking for a team of volunteers to run activities and also to source the materials needed to make it happen.

Item 3:
Hopefully, we will have time to move on to Matters Arising from the previous Drastic Plastic meeting, but if not, we will then need to fix another meeting date to do this.
