On the buses - Inverness-Culbokie connection and discounted Stagecoach fares

18 July 2017

Following the public meeting called by the Culbokie Action Group on 20 April to protest at the discontinuation of the Culbokie-Inverness 'commuter service' formerly provided by Stagecoach, a not entirely satisfactory substitute service was provided by re-timing the morning D&E Cromarty-Dingwall 405 service to connect with the Stagecoach Invergordon-Inverness 25U service at Duncanston crossroads.  Click here to see a summary of this connecting service, and go to 'Bus information and timetables' under our Travel and Tourism tab for details of all recent Black Isle bus service changes and timetables.

Stagecoach have now introduced reduced fares for Culbokie residents connecting with their 25U service at Duncanston.  Forwarding the Stagecoach email and press release, Bruce Morrison, Secretary of Ferintosh Community Council, writes

"Thanks to the persistent lobbying by the Culbokie Action Group, supported by FCC, Stagecoach has provided discounted fares for the Culbokie commuter (see email) who currently has to take two buses for the one way commute. The main objective of us all remains, however, to reinstate the single bus commuter service."

For details of the discounted fares, see the press release emailed from Stagecoach.
