6 of us enjoyed a day of Basket making at Rosemarkie Hall last saturday.
Susan Finlay, who is an excellent teacher, was there teaching 3 complete beginners and 3 others with some homegrown willow and hedgerow materials worked on their own baskets and helped each other.
More basket making is planned--the next being sat April 13th --contact Trish Mc Keggie initially at highlandwildwood@aol.com. We also hope to have something in June to celebrate ,I think, 25years of Scottish Basketmakers Association.
I really enjoyed this day --although I am very much a novice, having others around helped me .
I`m off soon I hope to try and finish something I started 3 days ago and hoping it will be strong enough for the garden! even if its not too pretty!
