Balcas is the largest producer of an environmentally friendly heating fuel, called brites, in the UK and Ireland. A national delivery service to domestic, commercial and industrial customers doors either directly or through one of the regional depots offers a clean, efficient and economically attractive alternative to conventional fossil fuels. The Invergordon CHP plant located in the Highlands of Scotland is approaching the end of its first year in production, servicing the UK market with brites it guarantees a sustainable supply as the largest plant of its kind in the British Isles.
